The current area of Obůrka is 140 hectares, with approximately 2 hectares dedicated to meadows and pastures, as well as several small lakes and a pond. The remainder consists of forests, with significant aged stands of pine and oak. The facilities of Obůrka include a hunting lodge, a hunting cabin, two haylofts, a trap, and covered lookout towers. The game is of high quality, naturally wary, and hunting is done individually, either by waiting in ambush or stalking. The natural boundary is formed by the Lužnice River on one side and the Smutná Stream on the other. Part of the fence was destroyed by a flood in 2002, and the fence has since undergone a major repair. The preserve is not open to the public.
Obůrka houses European fallow deer and mouflons, with a population of around 100 animals. The quality of the breeding has been gradually improving. The strongest harvested trophies had values of 192 CIC points for fallow deer and 222 CIC points for mouflon.
Among the distinguished guests who hunted in Obůrka was the president of the American company Anheuser-Busch, A. Busch, who, as a guest of the Ministry of Agriculture, hunted a mouflon here in 1980.
